The Southside and South Hills offer diverse opportunities for everyone. The Southside is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Pittsburgh. Looking for slightly off beat culture and maybe the most coffee shops per capita anywhere outside of New York, San Francisco and Seattle? Spend an afternoon on the South Side--and don't miss a stop at the Gertrude Stein Bookstore or the John Brashear museum. Most of the places to visit in the Southside are in a 10+ block stretch of East Carson Street, between the 10th Street and Birmingham Bridges. Just a mile east of Station Square, the Southside is easily accessible to most of the Pittsburgh area. The South Hills cover many municipalites. One of the largest is Mt.
